    New Years Day Party (aka Christmas Party for a Cause)

    We've rescheduled our party for Thursday, January 1st, from noon to 3:00 pm. Due to the time we will need some more lunch type things, but we do need Christmas goodies.

    We will be collecting gifts for Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse who support victims of domestic violence in our area. Items needed include diapers, children's coats & jackets, warm winter clothing and pajamas, toilet paper, paper towels, pillows, school notebooks, colored pencils, drawing paper, new makeup for women, razors, used cell phones and chargers.

    We also need finger foods or your special Christmas treat (cookies, cake, etc.) for the party. Drinks (coffee, tea, punch) provided. All are welcome. Bring family and friends!

    When:Thursday, January 1, 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm

    Where:Madeline and Glen McComas’ home, 1100 McKown Road, Potlatch. (208) 875-0266 (directions below)

    Driving Directions:

  • Going North out of Moscow on Hwy 95 continue on Hwy 95 exactly 2 miles past the Potlatch “Y.”
  • Turn left (west) on West Freeze Road. (there are road signs)
  • Go 1/4 mile on West Freeze Road and turn right onto Deep Creek Road.
  • Go 2 miles on Deep Creek Road to a fork in the road—Deep Creek Road goes off to the right and McKown Road bears left.
  • Stay on McKown Road. (You will be able to see our house up on the hill off to the right.) You will pass an old red barn on the left, a red pole building on the right, an old white farm house on the left and after the white farm house you will see our mail box and our drive way.

    Connie Ferguson chosen as new Latah County Treasurer

    On Monday, April 30 the Latah County Commissioners chose Connie Ferguson to replace Les Proctor as Latah County Treasurer when he retires at the end of June. Connie was our first-choice nominee, and enjoyed strong support from our other two nominees.
