Lot # 7100-0464Northern Alaska/Canada; male18-19" long plus tail mix of white, gold, brown hairs; ~golden tail head extra light brown and white colors bright medium dark gold abdomen; cased super, super, super heavy winter fur. Few light spots just posterior of shoulders. #1 select quality. Often dubbed "canary marten" by fur trade. A year ago there were 59,439 marten sold by the largest Canadian auction house. Of these 33 (0.00056%; 1 in ~1800 skins) were of unusual colors as designated by the auction house. We bought all of them and just got them back from the tannery.
